GTA 6 is one of the biggest upcoming game releases.
And now, players can officially pre-order it.
The game is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
There are two main editions to know about: the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition.
Here is everything you need to know before ordering.
When Did GTA 6 Pre-Orders Start?
GTA 6 pre-orders officially began on June 25, 2026.
The pre-orders became available globally, including digital options.
Rockstar also announced that the Ultimate Edition would be available alongside the Standard Edition.
GTA 6 Standard Edition
The Standard Edition is the basic version of GTA 6.
It is available digitally and as a physical version.
The physical version uses a download code inside the box rather than a traditional game disc.
The Standard Edition includes the main GTA 6 experience featuring Jason and Lucia.
GTA 6 Ultimate Edition
The Ultimate Edition is the more premium option.
According to the official GTA 6 site, it includes the Standard Edition plus an exclusive collection of additional items connected to Jason and Lucia’s story.
Rockstar describes the Ultimate Edition as including premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and other content.
If you want the additional bonuses, this is the edition to look at.
GTA 6 Pre-Order Bonus
There is also a pre-order bonus.
Players who pre-order GTA 6, or purchase it before November 20, 2026, can receive the Vintage Vice City Pack.
The bonus is designed around the classic neon-era feeling of Vice City.
This makes the bonus especially interesting for longtime GTA fans.
GTA 6 Pre-Load Date
Digital pre-orders will also get an early pre-load option.
According to Rockstar, digital versions can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026.
That is one week before the official launch.
The physical version is also planned to be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading.
When Can You Play GTA 6?
The official release date is:
November 19, 2026
The game is currently confirmed for:
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
Rockstar has not announced a PC release date on its current official GTA 6 page.
So players should be careful with websites claiming to know an official PC date.
Is GTA 6 Online Included?
For now, Rockstar’s official pre-order announcement describes GTA 6 as a single-player experience.
Rockstar has not provided full details about a future GTA 6 Online experience in the official pre-order information.
That means players should not assume that every rumored online feature is confirmed.
Should You Pre-Order GTA 6?
That depends on what you want.
If you already know you want GTA 6 on launch day, pre-ordering can give you access to the announced pre-order bonus.
Digital buyers also get the ability to pre-load before launch.
But there is no need to rush simply because other people are pre-ordering.
It is always smart to compare editions and decide which version gives you the features you actually want.
Standard vs Ultimate Edition
The simple difference is:
Standard Edition:
The main GTA 6 game.
Ultimate Edition:
The main game plus additional premium content.
If you only want to play the core GTA 6 experience, the Standard Edition may be enough.
If you want the extra content, the Ultimate Edition is the premium option.
Final Thoughts
GTA 6 pre-orders are now officially available.
The game launches on November 19, 2026, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S currently confirmed platforms.
The Standard and Ultimate Editions give players two main choices, while the Vintage Vice City Pack gives pre-order customers an additional bonus.
